"For me, the Fvl’s biggest benefit was many many feet of copper wire. Copper wire is so expensive ! Too expensive for me to choose to buy new instead of just searching tirelessly for abandoned wire. The copper is super important structurally and magnetically for my project . It is a large sculptural frame but also an electrical conductor. Having spools of this amazing metal at the beginning of my project made me feel on top of a integral part of it, letting me worry about finding other objects and extending my practice beyond materials."
