For my senior project, I sought to explore multi-faceted aspects of individual identity through the physical recreation of my childhood home. Unlike most of my previous deeply personal work, I decided to make something much bigger in scale and more universal.
Through the body of a home, specifically the home I grew up in, I tried to parallel the body of human identity using fiber and textiles. The Fund for Visual Learning allowed me to explore creating an installation that pushed my usual comfortable work style and take on a much bigger endeavor—in terms of scale as well as subject matter. This project is one that I have grown deeply attached to and plan to expand upon and rework over time.
